Welcome to Oakley Infant School!

We are busy two-form entry infant school in the village of Oakley, just outside Basingstoke, where lots of exciting learning happens. Our school website will give you a taster of the things we do at Oakley but I would be delighted to welcome you to come and see it for yourself.

At Oakley Infant School we want children to strive to be the best they can be, to thrive in a school environment where children feel safe, happy and comfortable and achieve their full potential and we work together as a team to make that happen.

Oakley Infant School is a Rights Respecting School and we ensure that children know about the United Nations Convention of the Children’s Rights. We concentrate on some of the basic rights and use these to underpin the teaching and learning, although we discuss all of the children’s rights. We are an inclusive school where we support and encourage all children to take part in all activities and encourage consideration, respect and tolerance.

we encourage children to develop their independence when they are learning and playing.

The children follow an interesting, ambitious curriculum pathway where there are opportunities to re-visit and make links to across all areas of the curriculum. We are passionate about the importance of developing the whole child through opportunities to be on the School Voice, make visits outside of school to support the curriculum, using our wonderful school grounds for learning, using focus weeks, offering after school clubs, ensuring children have responsibilities within the school and many other chances all in a supportive environment.
